For more than 30 years we have strived to genetically engineer Angus cattle to meet
the demands of Angus breeders, commercial cattlemen and the whole beef industry.
Determining those needs takes involvement in the beef business and genuinely caring
about the success of our customers' breeding programs. We use every tool available to produce the genetics that will help our customers be successful.
Consider some of the good things that our herd has accomplished so you can
incorporate superior Angus genetics from Lemmon to elevate the value of your product. For example:
- Currently we have four Lemmon bred herd sires serving in three AI stud operations.
- Lemmon Powerstroke set new records at the UGA Tifton Bull Evaluation for
all-time all-breed weight per day of age of 4.38 and an adjusted yearling wt of 1673.
- Breeders spanning the United States from NY to CA have added Lemmon
genetics to their programs in the last two years.
- At the 2002/2003 Tifton Bull Evaluation 115 Angus bulls from 42 breeders were
e valuated. There were seven Angus bulls with adjusted yearling weights in excess of 1500 pounds—Lemmon Cattle had three of them.
- At the 2003/2004 Tifton Bull Evaluation Lemmon Angus herd sires indexed 2
and 3 over all breeds producing the high selling individual and the high weight per day of age individual.
