From the beginning our cows have had to work. Failure to do so is referred to as a McDonalds attack.
I feel I know the kind of cattle the beef industry needs because I have stockered calves, maintained a commercial herd, done day work for commercial producers, and worked a livestock market while developing our purebred Angus herd. I even had three other purebred breeds along the way. In the 70's when bigger continental breeds were popular I was busy accumulating some of the best cows in the Angus breed. I just could not accept the philosophy that BEEF was a generic red meat that did not need quality. Many generations of Angus genetics have been produced here at Lemmon Cattle Enterprises. By using artificial insemination, keeping good records and applying tough selection pressure, we have produced a herd of Angus Cattle that contribute greatly to the American beef industry and the beef eating enjoyment of many.
