At Lemmon Angus, our objective is and always has been to produce cattle with balanced traits. Philosophically, we want cattle that possess lower birth weights, yet exhibit high growth and a moderate mature size combined with excellent muscle and marbling. Importantly, the long term benefit of these traits can only be sustained when they are balanced with the selection of strong maternal traits, reproductive efficiency, and structural soundness. For the past 38 years, these are the qualities that have driven our breeding program and the genetic base of this cow family. Operating in the rolling hills of west central Georgia, 60 miles south of Atlanta, Lemmon Angus has grown to over 1000 head of purebred Angus cattle serving commercial and seedstock producers throughout the United States.
